Reyna Matthes: support and empower talented women in business

My message to women on International Women’s Day is to continue to support each other together and make change happen, together: Change needs leaders – but it also needs a group of passionate, resourceful and committed men and women working together. Make it part of your mission as a leader. In the coaching work I do I am constantly inspired by the support senior women and men are taking to help, support and empower our female talent.
We must take charge and responsibility to build the pipeline for all women; we all have a role in helping to balance the gender equation.
The challenge we have is what can we do that is meaningful to help lift young women to find their voice.
There are tangible actions that we can all take. If a younger woman approaches me to support them, I will always meet with them and spend time mentoring and sharing what I’ve learned along the way.
We have the power to help other women achieve; we have to be role models for women and be brave enough to articulate what we stand for and what’s expected of us
We have to talk to about risk and reward – we have to be more comfortable with risk ourselves.
