Trish has worked as an Executive Leadership Coach with the Executive Central Group for the past 11 years. Based in Canberra, Trish commenced her career in the Commonwealth Government and has worked with the public sector in various capacities for over 30 years, providing an extensive range of services, consulting and coaching projects.
Trish has in excess of 30 years professional experience in the public and private sectors in Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane. Following her Commonwealth government career, Trish transitioned into the communications and media sector. This led to an opportunity in Sydney in the HR, Talent and Recruitment sector, ultimately specialising in the ICT consulting and the professional services sector.
Trish has consistently embraced change and her market acumen has resulted in the establishment of successful businesses and national projects: these are capabilities she is passionate about sharing with executives to help them achieve their goals through effective and empowering leadership.
Trish is a founder and previous President of Women in Communication, an initiative to provide mentoring and coaching for women working in the ICT industry. She founded The Project Executive Forum in Canberra, aimed at providing networking, coaching and mentoring for executives and she subsequently implemented the forum on a national basis with a consulting firm.
Trish has worked as a telephone crisis counsellor, has significant experience in outplacement management, and career management.
Trish is a consummate networker – a skill she regularly uses to assist her clients. Trish is passionate about coaching, empowering and enabling clients to embrace change, and balance their life with humour. She aspires to quality conversations that result in confident, action and outcome oriented results.
Trish has qualifications in coaching, HR, and recruitment. Her goal is to share her knowledge, experience and her own journey with her clients.
Trish and her colleague were recently appointed to design and deliver national workshops for a Division of a Commonwealth Government Department. The workshops were focused on Leadership, Constructive Communication and Behaviour in response to survey results at the lower scale for the Department. The workshops resulted in a mid scale survey result for the whole division in their subsequent survey.
Trish works with many SES Officers and also emerging leaders. In 2018 she worked with three Commonwealth Officers applying for promotion to the SES. All three officers were subsequently appointed to Band 1 SES positions.
Currently Trish and a colleague are delivering a leadership program of eight custom-designed leadership modules for a Commonwealth Government Division, for APS6 to EL1 staff across six states. The modules are being delivered in full and half-day workshops. The feedback has averaged a score of 4.8/5 – a rare result. The same modules are being undertaken for a second program, and subsequently being designed for managers across the Division.
